Welcome to Glenbrook Primary School’s Web Site
This web site is designed to give you helpful information about our school, which is a Community Primary School with a Nursery Unit. I hope you will find it useful.
I am very proud of Glenbrook and I believe that all children can be encouraged to do their best in this positive, hard working, educational environment.
I have been head teacher since the school was amalgamated just over five years ago and during that time we have made lots of progress and have improved academic results, making our school an exciting environment where children can do well and thoroughly enjoy their learning.
To further improve the school we are always introducing new opportunities for children.
Last year we started our own Extended School, 3.30 – 6.00 p.m. with Breakfast Club at 8.30 -9.00 a.m. Up to ¼ of the school enjoy porridge, bagels and orange juice each day.
This academic year we have introduced French to Y6 pupils while Y1 – Y5 pupils continue to learn Spanish.
Y6 have their own minibook computer which they take home each night to use to complete their homework and share with their family. Soon Y5 children will have one too.
We use our school garden where children get involved in growing fruit and vegetables which later they eat, cook or sell. This year we are including opportunities for parents too by running a Cookery Club for parents with their children.
We have always had a great reputation for being good at sport and last year Glenbrook continued to shine!
We welcome all children, parents and carers of prospective pupils, getting well informed before making a decision to apply for a place at Glenbrook. Please make an appointment if you would like to see round the school.
I look forward to hearing from you.
